Antananarivo - Antsirabe

A tradition that emerged from the colonization, the ironwork is an activity that takes a huge importannce in almost homes of the island. Simple housework in modern houses, each house is endowed with at least one of the saucepans that are manufactured in the central Highlands locality. With the coming of industrial iron, the aluminum took the place of the iron that is fifficult to work with. A collection of old aluminum in various homes of cities and the round is played. Day 2
Antsirabe – Miandrivazo – Tsiribihina descent

Very early departure to join Miandrivazo. Photo stop along the road. Transfer to the pier and beginning of the Tsiribihina River descent on a customized barge. Discovery of the natural swimming pool and bathing, discovery of local folklore. Camping under tents (Full board).
Sacred water courses of sakalava, the Tsiribihina is a charged stream of history and culture. Used since about a hundred years for transport, This River drains laden silt in the uplands to the sea.

Day 3
Tsiribihina descent

Animal and river everyday life observation. Visit of a traditional village and a donation for a small bush school. Nice picture in the end of the day. First baobabs on the sunset. Camping by the river and folklore (Full Board).
Since about fifteen years, the barges have furrowed the river of Tsiribihina for carrying the traveler to the pier of Tsimafana , for continuing along Bemaraha . All along the way, We assist the liable to nature and the nonchalance of the shore.

Day 4
Descent of the river - Masiamkampy - Bekopaka

Last stretch in barge and transhipment aboard cars, northbound, Bekopaka and the famous Tsingy de Bemaraha. Arrival at the end of the day, passage of a local ferry. Installation. Hotel *..
Bridges are non-existent in this part of the island. Ferry crossings are unavoidable to connect the villages between them, among others Bekopaka where we reaches the gate of the Bemaraha Tsingy.

Day 5

First day of the Tsingy discovery. Descent of the Manambolo river and having a look to some cultural sites in the morning. Visit small Tsingy in the afternoon. Return to the hotel. Hotel *..
Land of the Sakalava ancestors which used to hide them during the Merina occupations campaigns , the Manambolo is a watercourse that remains still sacred even until today. This stream runs through the national park of Bemaraha and criss-cross through the karst formations of the Tsingy.

Day 6

Second discovery day. Visit of the most impressive sites of the Tsingy, the great one. Transfer by car and start discovery. A half day of feeling through this unique worldwide ecosystem. Hotel *..

Bekopaka - Morondava

Departure to the South. Dirt track and crossing the river on a local ferry. Passage by the baobab forests, traditional villages and at the end of the day, the mythical Baobabs Alley. Continuation to Morondava and transfer to the hotel. Hotel *.
