Departure from the hotel at 08.00 to join the 07 national road heading south. This mythical road is a classic way to discover the highlands. You'll stop along the way for photos and fruit-tasting passes. You'll visit an aluminum recycling workshop in Ambatolampy, a reminder of the local population's resilience in making do with local resources. The landscape is dominated by bare hills and terraced rice paddies. Arrive in Antsirabe mid-day for lunch (free). To start the afternoon, you'll take a short rickshaw ride to some of Antsirabe's handicraft workshops. The city is the capital of handicrafts par excellence. Check-in at the end of the day. We continue our highland itinerary. Departure from Antsirabe after a morning coffee. We join the N43 towards the mid-west, and our destination today is Ampefy. A town located in an ancient volcanic region. The road is splendid, climbing to heights approaching 1800m. The villages we pass through are authentic and peaceful. Depending on the day we cross, we'll take a moment to discover a lively local market. Folklore and authenticity are to be found in these surroundings. Arrive in Ampefy in the middle of the day and check into your hotel, followed by lunch (free). After lunch, we invite you to discover one of the emblematic sites of this beautiful region: the Lily waterfall. Return to the hotel at the end of the day. Overnight at the hotel. Departure from the hotel after a good breakfast. We continue our journey back to the capital. Today, before getting back on the road, you'll make a detour to the Ilot de la Vierge, *. You'll be back on the road after this stop, tasting seasonal fruit along the way. You'll also discover a local market in the company of your guide-driver. Lunch (free) in Miarinarivo and on to Antananarivo, which you reach in mid-afternoon. Pass through the artisanal market on the dike before returning to your hotel. Check-in at your hotel on arrival, dinner (free) at your hotel and overnight stay.
