Morondava - Belo sur Mer - Morombe - Andavadoaka - Ambatomiloha – Toliara

Departure from the town of Morondava, take the track and first ford crossing. Dry landscape with sand under the wheels. Total change of scenery and African safari atmosphere with baobabs in the background. 5 hours of slopes and passage of the Ankisira salar upon arrival at Belo sur Mer. Installation at the hotel. Visit the village and enjoy the sea in the afternoon. A place well known for the manufacture of old-fashioned dhows, a vacation spot for adventurers and the beginning of the exploration of the west coast of Madagascar.
A long day on the trail awaits us. Connection between Belo sur Mer and Morombe. The track goes inland again before coming out on Morombe. Landscape lined with majestic baobabs and a unique thorny flora. Lunch en route and crossing the Mangoky river at Bevoay before reaching Morombe at the end of the day with the sunset. Installation on arrival. Morombe is located on the coast and was a prosperous town before falling into oblivion with the intensification of maritime transport to Mahajanga, further north. She is still known for bringing out crops such as beans and rice.
Departure after breakfast to continue the track towards the south. Exit Morombe and we enter the land again and pass through the baobab garden as well as one of the largest specimens of baobab, followed by a portion of sand track before arriving on Andavadoaka and the start of the most beautiful lagoons of this part of the island. Arrival at the village and walking tour of this picturesque little village lost on the west coast of the island. Installation in your room and free time in the afternoon.
After breakfast, departure for the south towards Ambatomiloha, still on the coast. Passage through the baobab garden and a few difficult stretches of sand before returning to the easy slopes of Amabatomiloha. Arrival in one of the most beautiful places on the island. Of all the regions of the island, no other offers such a panorama and such a complete change of scenery. A white sand beach as far as the eye can see and a breathtaking emerald sea.
Day of discovery of the region with in the morning, visit to the small sacred island of Ambatomiloha and its hidden treasures, snorkelling and traditional Vezo canoe*. You can have lunch on one of the beaches of the island. Return in the middle of the afternoon and get back in the car to take some photos of baobabs at sunset. Ambatomiloha is first and foremost a rocky islet which is sacred to the natives before being an islet rich in underwater fauna. You can get there by canoe and you can spend the day poking around this little rock.
Second day in this unique place, where the sky merges with the sky. You will take the time to enjoy this oh-so-charming place. This day will be dedicated just to relaxation.
Departure towards the south. Sand track and end of blue lagoons. Passing through the coastal villages and stops for souvenir photos. Lunch on Mangily for a last moment at the sea and continuation to Toliara in the middle of the afternoon.
