From November 6, 2021, the borders of Madagascar will be partially reopened to flights from Europe to Antananarivo via Air Madagascar and Air France.
Charter flights from Milan/Rome to Nosy Be are also authorized.
Regional lines between Madagascar and the neighboring islands of the Indian Ocean – Mauritius (via Air Mauritius) and Reunion (via Air Austral) – should resume from October 23, 2021.
Health measures for international travelers arriving in Madagascar are as follows:
- Compulsory PCR test (25 euros) included in the price of the plane ticket.
- Quarantine of one (01) to two (02) days pending test results.
- If the test is negative, the traveler is free to travel. In the event of a positive result, he will be quarantined for an additional 14 days.
- Flights entering Madagascar will be limited to one (01) flight every 5 hours as recommended by ICAO.
