With the precious support of very dear friends and loved ones, lovers of Madagascar: “LES AMIS DE MADAGASCAR”, of the ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY RESEARCH ASSOCIATION (R.Q.E.) in France, the SAINT JOSEPH ROMILLY SUR SEINE school (France), the MANAGER OF THE PALMARIUM HOTEL in Ankanin'ny Nofy, people who were kind enough to accompany us in our projects, from the family, and the villagers themselves,
TOUR MALIN MADAGASCAR has built a school in the Pangalanes that the children have named: “SEKOLY FANANTENANA” or “The School of Hope” which has welcomed around a hundred schoolchildren from the village and its surroundings since September 2013. .
Another hut was recently built to provide accommodation for the school director, to serve as an office area and a library area. A toilet and enema area have also been created.
Other than these classrooms and the hut which adjoins the school, we have on several occasions provided the students and teachers with various supplies (materials, office and school supplies, supplies for maintenance and cleanliness, balls, school books, …)
First aid medications have been left with the village President, as well as a supply of basic necessities (rice, oil, dried seeds, pasta, etc.).
Today, our activities continue, although they are few and sparse. Our desire is to make our contributions to help our fellow human beings. Tiny... surely... compared to the needs... But the little that we bring, we bring with the heart and the happiness of giving and helping, according to our means, our possibilities.
Our next steps are therefore currently to achieve the installation of a manual pump in the village to allow the villagers to draw water more easily, as well as the construction of a new hut to accommodate the small children of the preschool as required by the administration of the country. The study of the location and the estimate are in progress.
Also, at the same time, we are launching a call for a collection :
- fairly simple books to allow children to familiarize themselves with reading, stories and tales, images, vocabulary words.
- educational games and toys that will bring them fulfillment and happiness.
Any contributions would be welcome. Together, we can engrave these smiles of happy children which mark Madagascar so much.
Yours truly.
