Departure from Antananarivo to reach Imerintsiatosika and start of the hike towards the sacred hill of Antongona. Walk through rice fields and villages of artisans recycling tin cans into miniatures. After the hike, continue to Ampefy and check into the hotel for the night.
Departure after breakfast for a day of connection to Antsirabe through the volcanic landscapes of the highlands. Stops en route in villages and discovery of the aluminum workshops of Ambatolampy. Arrival in Antsirabe early in the afternoon and discovery of the city.
Start of a two-day hike in the lake region. Walk through volcanic landscapes, highland cultures and villages. Night in the Manandona region.
Second day of walking in the Vakinankaratra landscapes. Meetings with rural communities and immersion in Malagasy daily life. End of hike and night in the region.
Road to Ambositra, famous for the Zafimaniry wood carving. Visit to the market and artisan workshops. Installation in a lodge in the heart of a fertile valley.
Transfer to Antoetra then hike to the Zafimaniry village of Ifasina. Discovery of a way of life that has remained very traditional. Lunch with the locals and return to the lodge.
Road to the Ranomafana rainforest. First exploration of the national park in search of lemurs and endemic fauna. Night discovery of wildlife. Installation at the hotel.
Another visit to the park in the morning then drive south. Passage through Fianarantsoa and discovery of its old town. Arrival in Ambalavao and preparation for the Andringitra trek.
Transfer to the entrance to the massif and first walk to the first camp. Discovery of the granite landscapes and valleys of the park. Night in camp.
Hiking at altitude with passage through large sacred waterfalls. Installation at the high camp in the heart of the massif. Observation of spectacular landscapes.
Morning ascent of Pic Boby (2658 m), second peak in Madagascar. Exceptional panorama of the Andringitra massif. Descent towards the camp.
Exit the park and descent towards the Tsaranoro valley. Welcome to the lodge and well-deserved rest after several days of trekking. Night at the lodge.
Road towards the Isalo massif crossing the arid landscapes of the south. Installation at the lodge and preparation for the trek in this spectacular setting.
Start of the hike in the Isalo massif. Crossing canyons, plateaus and valleys sculpted by erosion. Camp in the heart of the park.
Exploration of the landscapes of the massif: rivers, waterfalls and unique rock formations. Observation of local wildlife and possible swimming in natural pools.
Last day of trek with passage through the plateaus and wooded areas. Arrival at the Namazà camp and last night in this spectacular setting.
Road to Toliara then domestic flight to Antananarivo. Welcome on arrival and transfer to your hotel. End of this great trek across Madagascar.
