This circuit immerses you in the heart of the eastern tropical forest and the peaceful landscapes of the Pangalanes canal. Between observing lemurs, discovering primary forests and meeting local communities, this trip favors immersion and authenticity. Discovery of the capital through its historic districts and lively markets. Meeting with local artisans and exploration of Malagasy gastronomy through a traditional market. A first immersion in the culture and daily life of the inhabitants.
Road to the Eastern Rainforest. Stop at the Peyrieras reserve to observe chameleons, reptiles and endemic insects. In the afternoon, visit the Vakôna private reserve to approach the lemurs, followed by a nighttime discovery in the VOIMMA (Community area) forest.
Guided hike in Mantadia National Park, one of the most beautiful primary forests in the region. Observation of lemurs, endemic birds and discovery of medicinal plants used by local communities. Return to Andasibe and moment of rest.
Descent towards the East coast through plantations and tropical landscapes. Tasting of seasonal fruits then transfer by boat on the Pangalanes canal. Installation in a lodge at the water's edge and visit to the Palmarium to observe the lemurs in their habitat.
Discovery of the reserve and its exceptional biodiversity. In the afternoon, immersive visit to the village of Aragnana, a solidarity project supported by the agency. Participation in a reforestation activity and discussions with the community, followed by folklore entertainment in the evening.
Return by boat then by vehicle to the capital through the green landscapes of the East. Arrival in Antananarivo at the end of the day. Installation at the hotel and end of the program.
Transfer to the airport and flight to Sainte-Marie Island. Welcome on arrival then check into your hotel by the sea. First discovery of the island: village of Ambodifotatra, port and Creole atmosphere of this island steeped in history.
Stay at leisure to fully enjoy the island. Possibilities for activities: bike ride in the villages, excursion to Ile aux Nattes, snorkeling in the lagoon or discovery of local traditions. In season (July to September), observation of humpback whales possible.
Return flight to Antananarivo at the end of the morning. Installation at the hotel then closing evening with dinner in one of the best restaurants in the capital. A friendly moment to celebrate the end of your trip to Madagascar.
