11 days / 10 nights – Naturalist exploration

This circuit is dedicated to discovering the exceptional richness of Malagasy biodiversity, from the humid forests of the Highlands to the dry ecosystems of the southwest. It allows you to observe a great diversity of lemurs, reptiles, endemic birds and unique plants, in some of the most remarkable natural habitats of Madagascar.

Day 1: Antananarivo - Ambositra
Day 1: Antananarivo - Ambositra

Drive south through the landscapes of the Central Highlands. Crossing rice fields and traditional villages before reaching Ambositra, a region renowned for its forests and artisanal traditions.

Day 2: Ambositra – Ranomafana
Day 2: Ambositra – Ranomafana

Continue to the Ranomafana tropical forest. Visit the arboretum to discover the botanical wealth of the region. In the evening, night outing in search of nocturnal lemurs, chameleons and amphibians.

Day 3: Ranomafana – Kianjavato (camp)

Road to Kianjavato, a forest area recognized for its conservation programs. Day hike in the forest and wildlife observation. In the evening, night outing with the possibility of observing the mysterious aye-aye, one of the rarest lemurs in Madagascar.

Day 4: Kianjavato – Ranomafana

Return to Ranomafana and exploration of the Ranomafana National Park, one of the richest in biodiversity in the country. Observation of lemurs, endemic birds and numerous species of tropical plants.

Day 5: Ranomafana - Ambalavao

Road to Ambalavao with stop at the Anja community reserve, famous for its colonies of ring-tailed lemurs. Night outing in the reserve to observe the active wildlife at nightfall.

Day 6: Ambalavao – Ranohira

Drive south through the open landscapes of the Ihorombe plateau. The ecosystems become progressively drier as they approach the Isalo massif.

Day 7: Isalo National Park

Day of exploration in the Isalo National Park, famous for its canyons, rock formations and wildlife adapted to arid environments.

Day 8: Ranohira – Zombitse Vohibasia Park – Ranohira

Excursion to the Zombitse Vohibasia National Park, a dry forest remarkable for its endemic birds and lemurs. Observation of numerous plant species adapted to the arid climate of the south.

Day 9: Ranohira – Toliara – Ifaty

Drive to the southwest coast and discover the Reniala reserve, famous for its baobab forest and unique succulent plants.

Day 10: Ifaty – Marine ecosystems

Sea trip to explore the coral reefs of the lagoon. Observation of marine life and discovery of the coastal ecosystems of southwest Madagascar.

Day 11: Ifaty - Toliara - Antananarivo
Day 11: Ifaty - Toliara - Antananarivo

Transfer to Toliara and return flight to Antananarivo. End of this trip dedicated to the discovery of the exceptional biodiversity of Madagascar.
