From the humid forests of Montagne d'Ambre to the karst landscapes of Ankarana, via the preserved forest of Andrafiamena, refuge of the black lemur, to the tropical islands of Nosy Be, this itinerary offers a complete immersion in the unique biodiversity of northern Madagascar.

Day 1: Antananarivo - Diego Suarez
Day 1: Antananarivo - Diego Suarez

Domestic flight to Diego Suarez (Antsiranana), a tropical city located in one of the largest natural bays in the world. Installation and first discovery of this spectacular region of northern Madagascar.

Day 2: Diego Suarez – French Mountain
Day 2: Diego Suarez – French Mountain

Excursion to the Montagne des Français, a remarkable natural site overlooking Diego Bay. Observation of local fauna, reptiles and endemic birds, as well as the rare Perrieri baobab, an emblematic species of the north.

Day 3: Diego Suarez – Joffreville
Day 3: Diego Suarez – Joffreville

Road to Joffreville, a former colonial station located at the gates of the Montagne d’Ambre park. Installation in this village surrounded by forest. In the evening, night outing to observe chameleons, geckos and nocturnal lemurs.

Day 4: Montagne d’Ambre National Park

Full day in the Montagne d’Ambre National Park, a tropical rainforest renowned for its biodiversity. Hike through waterfalls, volcanic craters and lush vegetation in search of lemurs, endemic birds and chameleons.

Day 5: Joffreville – Andrafiamena
Day 5: Joffreville – Andrafiamena

Road to the Andrafiamena forest reserve, located between Ambilobe and Ankarana. The landscape gradually changes to give way to fairly dense forests and ecological transition zones in the north. Installation at the Lodge, a natural camp in the heart of the forest. First exploration walk around the camp to discover this unique habitat.

Day 6: Andrafiamena – Exploration and local immersion
Day 6: Andrafiamena – Exploration and local immersion

Day dedicated to the discovery of the Andrafiamena forest, one of the essential habitats for the conservation of the black lemur and other endemic species. Guided hike through the tropical dry deciduous forest to observe lemurs, birds and reptiles in their natural environment, all enhanced by a cultural immersion.

Day 7: Andrafiamena - Ankarana

Early departure to reach the Ankarana special reserve, one of the most spectacular landscapes in northern Madagascar. Upon arrival, explore the limestone formations and canyons of the park. Observation of lemurs, bats and birds in this unique environment of Tsingy and caves.

Day 8: Ankarana - Ambanja

Road to Ambanja, in the heart of the famous spice coast of northwest Madagascar. Along the way, the landscapes become more tropical and fertile. Visit to plantations of the region's emblematic crops, tropical spices. Discovery of traditional production methods within the local community.

Day 9: Ambanja - Ankify

Road to Ankify, a small port located on the banks of the Mozambique Channel. The road crosses a fertile tropical region where spice plantations, rural villages and landscapes of green hills follow one another. Arrival at Ankify and installation facing the sea. Possibility of walking on the beach or discovering the mangroves and fishing villages of the region.

Day 10: Ankify - Nosy Be
Day 10: Ankify - Nosy Be

Boat crossing to Nosy Be, the island of perfumes. After a navigation of approximately 45 minutes, arrival in Hell-Ville and transfer to your place of stay. Discovery of the island with its ylang-ylang plantations, its volcanic landscapes and its traditional villages. At the end of the day, you reach Mont Passot to admire one of the most beautiful sunsets on the archipelago.

Day 11: Nosy Be – Lokobe Park
Day 11: Nosy Be – Lokobe Park

Excursion to the Lokobe nature reserve, accessible by traditional canoe through the mangrove. This primary forest constitutes one of the last refuges of biodiversity on the island. Guided hike in search of lemurs, chameleons, snakes and many species of birds. Return to Nosy Be in the afternoon and free time to enjoy the seaside.

Day 12: Nosy Be - Marine Reserve of Nosy Tanikely
Day 12: Nosy Be - Marine Reserve of Nosy Tanikely

Boat excursion to Nosy Tanikely, a protected marine park renowned for the richness of its coral reefs. Snorkeling in crystal clear waters to discover tropical fish, corals and sea turtles. Relaxation time on the beach and walk to the lighthouse offering a panoramic view of the archipelago. Return to Nosy Be at the end of the afternoon.

Day 13: Nosy Be – Departure
Day 13: Nosy Be – Departure

Free time according to flight schedules to enjoy one last time the tropical atmosphere of the island. Possibility of visiting the local market or strolling on the beach. Transfer to the airport and end of this journey through the remarkable ecosystems of northern Madagascar.
