This circuit is specially designed for nature and biodiversity enthusiasts. The east coast of Madagascar is home to some of the richest tropical forests on the island, where a wide variety of lemurs, chameleons, endemic birds and rare plants can be observed in their natural habitat. Between national parks, private reserves and navigation on the Pangalanes canal, this trip offers an exceptional immersion in the heart of Malagasy biodiversity.

Day 1: Antananarivo - Andasibe
Day 1: Antananarivo - Andasibe

Departure towards the East towards Andasibe, through the green landscapes of the tropical forest. En route, possibility of visiting the Peyreras reserve, known for its collection of reptiles, chameleons and amphibians. In the evening, first night outing in the Mitsinjo reserve to observe nocturnal lemurs such as mouse lemurs, sportive lemurs and even wooly lemurs.

Day 2: Mantadia National Park – Andasibe
Day 2: Mantadia National Park – Andasibe

Day of exploration in the Mantadia National Park, one of the most beautiful primary forests in the region. Hike on forest trails in search of indris, sifakas, endemic birds and numerous species of chameleons.

Day 3: Andasibe – Maromizaha – Vohimana
Day 3: Andasibe – Maromizaha – Vohimana

Departure to the Maromizaha reserve, a forest area renowned for its great biodiversity and its numerous species of lemurs. Continue to the Vohimana private reserve. In the evening, night outing to observe reptiles, amphibians and flat-tailed geckos.

Day 4: Vohimana Reserve

Full day of discovery of the reserve. Hike in the rainforest in search of lemurs, chameleons and rare birds. Meeting with local communities engaged in forest conservation.

Day 5: Vohimana - Manambato - Akanin'ny Nofy

Road to Manambato, gateway to the Pangalanes Canal. Boat crossing through lakes and canals lined with tropical forest to Akanin’ny Nofy. In the evening, possibility of observing the mysterious aye-aye, one of the rarest lemurs in Madagascar.

Day 6: Akanin'ny Nofy - Reserve du Palmarium
Day 6: Akanin'ny Nofy - Reserve du Palmarium

Day of discovery of the Palmarium reserve, located on the banks of Lake Ampitabe. Observation of several species of lemurs roaming freely in the forest, as well as rich tropical vegetation.

Day 7: Akanin'ny Nofy - Andasibe
Day 7: Akanin'ny Nofy - Andasibe

Return by boat to Manambato then drive to Andasibe through the eastern rainforest. Last opportunity to observe wildlife in the region.

Day 8: Andasibe - Antananarivo
Day 8: Andasibe - Antananarivo

Return to Antananarivo through the green landscapes of the Highlands. Arrival in the capital and end of the tour.
