Overview

Immerse yourself in the heart of Malagasy rural life at Ambalahonko, a community and solidarity tourism project located in the north of Ambanja, a town in the north of Madagascar. This stay offers you a deeply human and responsible experience, where every moment promotes exchanges with locals and direct support for local projects.

You will stay in a traditional Malagasy house, built with local materials and equipped with simple comforts (solar electricity, fan, shower). You can also stay with a local if you are traveling in a group, for even more authenticity.

Throughout the days, take part in activities led by the village associations:

– canoe trips in the mangroves,
– discovery of cocoa, coffee and vanilla plantations,
– participation in reforestation actions,
– introduction to traditional fishing,
– visits to local cultures and their know-how.

Each activity is designed to strengthen the local economy: 100% of the income generated is reinvested in local projects, supporting education, the environment and the economic initiatives of residents.

This stay is much more than a simple visit – it is a lasting and supportive immersion, which allows you to meet, understand and participate concretely in the life of a Malagasy community.
